Lamperd Firearms Training Systems has a patent on a tazer bracelet they hope to sell to Homeland Security (aka Gestapo) for use in airports, with an eye towards selling it later for use beyond the airports. The idea is to tag all travelers with this bracelet, which allows airport security to track passengers through the airport, and to taze anyone at will, and at a distance.

Conspiracy Theories. There are loads of them out there. One of the most popular at present is the “9-11 Truth Movement” which (if you are unaware) puts forth the hypothesis that the 9-11 tragedy was a conspiract, not of a group of Fanatic Muslim “fundamentsalists” but rather of a cabal of government officials, supposedly for the purpose of grabbing more power in the US.

Just a few notes on the nature of government I've been thinking about for a while...

Have you ever noticed how Government regulations almost seem calculated to keep the poor, well, poor?

I mean, the politicians and bureaucrats of the "Nanny-State" and their various social-engineer hangers-on and supporters all talk a good game: How the government is there to help the poor, to protect them, to give them a hand up. And, occasionally, you'll hear these folks come right out and say that they want to stick it to the rich, and make them pay to help the poor.
